Whiteflies have been reported on some CPs. These are on iris. If you think you have whiteflies on a CP, check carefully with a hand lens and if this is what you see, let us know.
Pests
Mealybugs
These tiny bugs can really bug you and your plants. The best prevention is to quarantine and check very carefully any new plants you get. There is no best, sure-fire cure although it is possible to get rid of them.
Fungus Gnat Larvae
Many carnivorous plant growers consider adult fungus gnats a nuisance at worst and a source of food for their small plants at best. However, fungus gnat larvae are a hazard for your plants. They damage and eat plant roots and can damage leaves touching the surface of the soil.
Other Issues
Sarracenia Rhizome Rot
Sarracenia like most plants can be killed by plant pathogens if they are stressed or otherwise not treated as they would like.
Lacewing eggs. If you see lacewing eggs, that is good in the sense that lacewings are aphid predators. It is bad in the sense that it means there is likely to be an aphid infestation nearby.
